Coach bus from Tallinn to St Petersburg via Pskov

From June 26, 2026, Baltic Shuttle and SKSauto will resume daily bus services between Tallinn and Pskov, with a connection at the Pskov bus station.

The Baltic Shuttle bus departs from Tallinn daily at 7:21 a.m. via Tartu and the Koidula → Kunichina Gora border crossing , arriving at the Pskov bus station for a transfer.

Passengers transfer at the Pskov bus station to the Russian bus carrier SKSauto (route 958) from Pskov to Saint Petersburg (the trip is included in the price). The bus departs from Pskov to St Petersburg at 5:51 PM. If the bus route from Tallinn to Pskov is delayed, the connecting SKSauto route 958 will wait for it at the Pskov bus station. The bus is expected to arrive in St. Petersburg at 11:50 PM. The bus stops at 3 Altayskaya Street, Moskovskaya metro station (near entrance #3 of the Moskovskaya metro station), and then arrives at the St Petersburg bus station.

The actual arrival time of buses to Pskov and St. Petersburg depends on the time it takes for all bus passengers to cross the Estonian-Russian border.

The time in Saint Petersburg and Pskov is the same as the time in Tallinn.

The bus route from Tallinn to Pskov passes through the Koidula → Kunichina Gora border crossing , which is open to vehicle traffic. The bus arrives at the Koidula border crossing around 11:40 AM. Passengers undergo border and customs control inside the checkpoint buildings. The lack of a border crossing on foot and the lack of outdoor queues (as at the Narva-Ivangorod border crossing) makes this route a good alternative to the Tallinn — Narva — St Petersburg bus route, which has unpredictable wait times at the checkpoint.

NB: According to information from Rosselkhoznadzor, at present, the import of meat and dairy products from Estonia in factory packaging and ready to eat, weighing up to 5 kg per person, is permitted to Russia, with the exception of any products containing pork, as well as dairy products produced in Hungary, Slovenia and the Netherlands.

The fare includes baggage allowance: one carry-on bag (up to 5 kg and up to 45 × 35 × 20 cm in size) and one checked bag (up to 30 kg and up to 180 cm in the sum of its three dimensions). Additional baggage allowances can be paid to the bus driver for €10 (or 1000 rubles) per piece.

Please note: effective April 1, 2024, the duty-free import limit for goods into Russia by land has been reduced to €500 and the weight to 25 kg. Exceeding this limit will incur a duty of 30% of the value of the goods, but no less than €4 per kg (if the value of the goods is less than €500 and the weight is more than 25 kg).
